空山新雨後，天氣晚來秋。

明月松間照，清泉石上流。

竹喧歸浣女，蓮動下漁舟。

隨意春芳歇，王孫自可留。

After fresh rain in the vast mountains,

The air turns crisp with autumn’s evening glow.

The bright moon shines through the pines,

A clear spring flows over the rocks below.

Bamboo rustles as washerwomen return,

Lotus leaves sway with the fisherman’s boat.

Though spring’s fragrance has faded at will,

A noble soul may linger here still.
