雨余溪水掠堤平，閒看村童謝晚晴。

竹馬踉蹡沖淖去，紙鳶跋扈挾風鳴。

三冬暫就儒生學，千耦還從父老耕。

識字粗堪供賦役，不須辛苦慕公卿。

雨停後，溪水輕拭堤岸，匆匆流過。

我在傍晚的晴空下，悠閒地看著村裡的孩子跑出來玩。

他們踩著竹竿做的木馬，跌跌撞撞衝進泥水裡， 風箏在空中翻騰，借著風勢呼呼作響。

冬天幾個月，農事歇了，他們便跟著先生讀書， 春天一到，又忙著跟長輩們下田耕作。

識得幾個字，足夠應付賦稅與文書；人生不必辛苦追逐做官的夢。

平平實實，也是一種安穩的好日子。

 這首詩是南宋詩人陸游的七言律詩，作於晚年歸隱山陰（今浙江紹興）時期。詩描繪了雨後鄉村兒童嬉戲的生動場景，透過對村童純真生活的觀察，表達了詩人對田園生活的嚮往，以及對仕途艱辛的反思。

我在尋思的是「識字粗堪供賦役，不須辛苦慕公卿」這句。陸游該是月旦當時的教育，他不是反對讀書，而是反對把知識變成功名的工具，把讀書當成階級上升的唯一道路，把人生壓在一條狹窄的競爭軌道上。

其實，現代的教育也好不到那裡。現代的教育只是為了標準化，考試，選拔，讓人適應體制。結果學了十多年數學，卻不會報稅，學了多年英文，卻不敢開口，學了歷史，卻不知道如何理解當下，學了科學，卻不懂如何做決策，學了作文，卻不會寫一封清楚的電郵。

這不是能力問題，而是教育沒有教「生活需要的東西」。

After the rain, the stream brushes lightly past the embankment and hurries on. Under the clear evening sky, I watch the village children rush out to play.

Riding bamboo sticks like wooden horses, they stumble and splash into the mud; their kites tumble in the air, humming loudly as the wind pulls at the strings.

When winter comes and the fields fall quiet, they spend a few months studying with the village teacher; once spring arrives, they follow their elders back into the fields to work.

Knowing a handful of characters is enough for taxes and simple paperwork. There is no need to chase the weary dream of office and rank— an ordinary life, lived plainly, is already a steady and peaceful one.
