生在閻浮世界

  生在閻浮世界，人情幾多愛惡？

 只要喫些酒子，所以倒街臥路，

 死後却產娑婆，不願超生淨土，

 何以故？西方淨土，且無酒酤。

(酒仙遇賢)

這是一場禪宗機鋒，禪師以反諷的方式自道，從世人之迷逐漸指向開悟無住無執之境。

執著皆是障礙，世人貪戀酒酤，拒絕淨土，這是執著的荒誕；凡夫執著五欲、沉溺輪迴，飽受無明之病。

世人的執著，也是禪師的機鋒。淨土的無酒酤正是清淨無染的自性。開悟者不執著於酒酤之樂，亦不執著於淨土之清淨，能超越二元，隨處自在。

Born in the Saha world, how much love and hate fill human hearts?

Just drinking a bit of wine, they end up sprawled on the streets.

After death, they’re reborn in this suffering realm, unwilling to ascend to the Pure Land,

Why so? The Western Pure Land, they say, has no wine to drink!
